Stepping into the gate of a new weather season, Libra brings us back to the balance of Light and Dark at the Autumnal Equinox (aka: The Last Quarter Sun of this Annual Cycle). It's time to Celebrate the cycle and embrace the return of the Dark. 

The Sun moves from Virgo to Libra at 23:49 pst on  September  22, 2023.  

Libra Season ushers in Autumn and the return of the Dark. It is generally the last season of harvesting and the first season in preparation for winter. It is also the season where we can make our best investment for surviving the long Winter energy ahead….the investment in community & partnerships. Libra Season is all about those strategic and mutually beneficial relationships!

The Sun enters the Last Quarter Phase as soon as it enters the sign of Libra. This moment is called the Autumnal Equinox and it is that moment when The Light and The Dark are perfectly balanced again (just like they were back in Aries Season). Libra Season is the first third of the Autumn Signs, followed by Scorpio and Sagittarius.

Notice how the balance of light starts to change. The 24-hour day humans created fills with more darkness in Autumn (depending on where you're currently standing on the Earth of course). The Sunrise happens later and the Sunset arrives earlier. We have less light to WeRK with and more Dark instead. The beige, moss, and tan colors of Virgo Season will begin to shift into bright flashes of orange and mustard yellow. The deciduous trees & bushes begin to celebrate this cycle of life by exploding in these bright colors, signaling to the animals it's time to make final preparations before the big weather changes begin. Libra often brings back the crisp, crackly air we associate with Autumn. The wind picks up and blows those leaves, along with some seeds and fall fruits to the ground for the animals to collect and store. We will also see the animals and insects change their energy. The Air in Libra Season encourages everyone to initiate the autumn action plans and it's a great season for clearing out the old, useless shit and. making room for the new, functional items we will need for survival. It's also a great time to make all those autumn celebration plans with your favorite peeps. Who do you need to connect with to ensure your survival until The Sun returns again in Spring? Libra's Cardinal Air energy helps us tend to those relationships. 

Libra Season offers up the opportunity to reconnect to your social networks, including all that ShadowWeRK we often forget to do in a white supremacist culture: setting boundaries, ending toxic relationships, and tending to those feelings we're “not allowed” to feel.  It's an opportunity to reconnect to healthly, supportive relationships. And never forget that doing so is an act of Sweet Disruption. How? This culture demands we “be nice” and “follow the social norms” without question. But we know now that ideology is harmful because lays the foundation for oppressive systems to shame those who refuse to be pushed in any direction. Reclaiming your right to the personal sovereignty of being your truest “self” will put you in right relationship to others. Once you hold that birthright power again you will always demand that others are allowed to hold it also, without questions of worthiness or entitlements. Demanding these rights be returned to all, especially if you carry bigger privileges to make larger societal changes, will have an enormous impact on the collective,  

Be the catalyst that changes YOU and remember, you are worthy of this WeRK and demanding this space for you means you'll always demand it for the collective too.
